Our History

The Blackstone Valley Community Concert Band was founded in April of 2002 under the name of The Uxbridge Community Band. The name was changed in March of 2004 to better reflect the scope of our membership. The BVCCB is currently comprised of 50-60 talented instrumentalists who range in age from 11 to 80! Membership in the BVCCB is open to instrumentalists from throughout the Blackstone Valley and beyond. Although there are no formal auditions, high school proficiency is recommended. The band rehearses on Thursday Evenings, from 7-9 PM, in the auditorium of Whitin Middle School on Granite Street in Uxbridge, Ma.
